New, new, new!
Felt is the oldest form of textile in the world, but now it is back in the spotlight.
The process can be considered quite magical; a piece of fabric is made from the beautiful shorn fleeces of Merino sheep through friction and soap.
This form of textile production can be found in all cultures and throughout history.
From nomadic tents (yurts) to medieval clothing used as protection against arrows, thin wool threads can become incredibly strong when felted, making them suitable for everyday use.
A seemingly simple craft, executed for Zenza by a women's project in Nepal according to our own design.
The women in the rural areas of Nepal earn an income through this, in a place where opportunities for women are scarce.
This wall tapestry is a beautiful object on the wall due to its serene design and natural colors.
In addition, felted wall hangings work as sound absorbers.
